Animal Control

All Dogs owned in the Town of Huntington must be registered with the Town Clerk pursuant to Title 20 Vermont Statutes Annotated, Section 3581 et. seq. Dog Licenses are normally available at the Town Clerk’s Office. During COVID, register through the mail. Click here for the link to the registration form. In order to register your dog, you must have a copy of the current Rabies Certificate. There are no licensing requirements for cats or other animals at this time.

Cost of Dog License during 2021 only as late fees have been waived per order of the Governor.

Neutered or Spayed Dog – $13.50
Un-neutered or Un-Spayed Dog – $19.50

Cost of Dog License (October 1-December 31)
Neutered or Spayed Dog – $8.50
Un-neutered or Un-Spayed Dog $12.50

Dog licenses are good until April 1, of the following year.
