The office will be open on Monday and Tuesday, January 5 and 6, at 8 am until noon, and Wednesday, January 8 am to 5 pm. Happy New Year.

If you need anything from the office or notarizing, a marriage license, or other information, please feel free to call me at home (802-434-2690).

NOTE: Appointments are required to do property records research in the office. Start with accessing records online through Record Room, then make an appointment. The office is not open for drop-ins. Please make an appointment. You may access the link on the Town Clerk Page.

Dog Registrations Now Open On January 5, we are registering dogs for 2026. The deadline (state law, is April 1) after which the fee goes up and fines can be imposed. All dogs are $15 until April 1 and the rabies vaccination needs to be on file with the Town Clerk. You can call our office to see if yours is here. Registration form is available here.

Open Positions & Volunteer Opportunities

ETHICS TRAINING FOR MUNICIPAL OFFICIALS Effective January 1, 2025, many local officials are required to have training by the new Ethics Commission that addresses the Municipal Code of Ethics. Municipal officers have until September 25, 2025 to complete the training. Town Clerk Heidi Racht is the town’s point of contact to the Commission if residents wish to file a formal complaint.
